MIL-STD 130 Labels is a guideline laid out by The Department of Defense (DOD). If you are a contractor, providing parts to the DOD, you will be applying MIL-STD 130 labels, tags, identification plates or the like to any part provided to the government. Each item must be applied directly to each individual part without exception. Also, these labels tags or identification markers must be suited to last the lifetime of the product that is being supplied.

CAGE Code – The Commercial And Government Entity (CAGE) Code is a five-character ID number used extensively within the federal government, assigned by the Department of Defense’s Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).
ORIG P/N – Original Part number for items being shipped per purchase order.
SER NO. – Serial Number for parts being packaged, each item has a unique serial number.
2d CODE – One code that lists all the information on the label in one, easy to scan symbol.
